The station began in 1984 under the name Central Victorian Gospel Radio Inc. that is still the official name of the mission today.
105.1 Life FM is non-denominational and prides itself on being the media arm for all churches in Bendigo that believe that Jesus is our Lord and Saviour.
105.1 Life FM is member driven and run almost entirely by volunteers, currently employing just one paid staff member.
